How often will I be given Prolia®?

You only need a Prolia® (denosumab) injection once every six months.1
Prolia® has been developed as a long term treatment, so it is recommended that you check with your hospital or GP surgery that your next injection is booked in unless, of course, the doctor has decided your treatment can stop.
If you miss an injection, simply make another appointment as soon as it is convenient for you and your doctor. The treatment effect of Prolia® does wear off if treatment is stopped, so it is important you continue to get your injection every six months. Speak to your doctor or nurse about support available to help remind you when your next injection is due.
If you do not continue treatment your protection against fracture may be reduced.
